History
Yuraygir Coast Real Estate formerly known as Yuraygir First National Real Estate until December 2009 specialises in providing professional real estate services to the residents, owners, & visitors of the coastal villages, hinterland and rural areas surrounded by the Yuraygir National Park. The park spans 60km of Northern NSW Coastland from Angourie in the north, to Red Rock in the south, it is the largest & most beautiful piece of undeveloped coastline on the East Coast of NSW.
Four years ago Rod Ford became the sole owner of Yuraygir First National, previously known as a small branch serviced from Grafton on a part-time basis. Rod took his belief in the region & with a slight risk renamed the First National business after the pristine National Park which connects the area. The name Yuraygir has been mispronounced & misunderstood by many, but we as a team take advantage of the opportunity to educate and engage both new comers & locals toward the unique beauty of the Yuraygir National Park and the spectacular scenery & lifestyle there is on offer in the surrounding areas.
The service area is broken into two separate portfolios, Coastal & Rural.
The Coastal portfolio, headed by Principal & licensee Rod Ford, consists of the coastal villages of Wooli, Minnie Water, Diggers Camp, Sandon Village & Arrawarra. Sales in such exclusive & hidden locations have reached summit levels in recent years, but the secret is rarely exposed.
The hinterland, rural/lifestyle portfolio headed by licensed agent Fiona Beamer consists of the Pillar Valley, Glenugie, Tucabia, & Coldstream River areas, and in recent times has incorporated the farming communities of Ulmarra, Calliope & Gilletts Ridge.
Yuraygir First National offers a full range of specialist real estate services to a wide range of clientele, which include Residential Sales, Property Management solutions, both Holiday & permanent rental accommodation with on-line booking technology and tracking for owners, commercial sales & leasing, business sales, stock & station agency, livestock agistment & development/investment projects.

Based upon an easy approachable style of doing business, which appeals to the coastal & rural way of life, our success can be measured not only by sales figures, but by the growing demand from property owners of the outer reaching areas of Brooms Head & Lower Clarence area of Maclean for us to list & sell their properties.
With serious consideration, and great excitement, our Wooli based business will be shedding the ‘First National’ banner, expanding, and fully immersing our commitment into the Yuraygir Coast Region. Our decision to expand means we will offer more alternatives to our already existing clientele and future new-comers.
The New Brand
The new business, named Yuraygir Coast Real Estate, will operate from North Street, Wooli and a second office will open in River Street, Maclean. Premises are currently being prepared in an excellent location with the goal of being open for business and servicing the area by the New Year. By offering two locations, linking the areas, exposure will double, and our ability to list & sell coastal property will no longer be stymied by ‘territories’ as is the case when part of a Franchise or Marketing group.
Fiona Beamer will front the new business as Licensee & Principal and she will continue in her field of expertise, building and growing the Rural portfolio, while continuing to service the existing one.
Rod Ford will continue in his field of expertise building the Coastal portfolio by adding the areas of Brooms Head & Angourie, whilst continuing to promote & service the existing more Southern areas of the National Park.
It is also our purpose to grow the property management selection and provide the opportunity to offer a greater variety of permanent rentals & coastal holiday experiences.
The holiday makers who flock to our coastal villages are a powerful resource, providing us with valuable feedback, and often become the buyers of tomorrow.
We look forward to the independent direction we have embarked upon, and believe there is a growing need to provide the region with a fresh alternative for those buyers and vendors who take pride in owning and sharing in a piece of this wonderful landscape.
